Another CCT post !

Hi guys, seen a YouTube clip where a guy strips a cct from a V tec.
He manages to wind the internal spring therefore, making it stronger, before re- assembly.
Would this be possible with the cct from a bb?

Hi Len and Happy New Year !

Not seen that video as Ive no interest in fukking about with a CCT. Im too ham fisted to trust myself with something that I consider a cheap consumable.

Ther's a guy on Facebook, Paul Manners, English but living in Belgium. He recently posted up how he "rejuvenates" a tired CCT by retensioning the spring as opposed to manual CCT's.

Ill go have a look for it and post it up. :rockon)

Hi there murph,
After posting this on other forums, I've decided to just get a new one.
Apparently the plunger shaft on the earlier ones was a softer metal, which when worn, caused some of the rattling.
The upgraded ones have harder shafts, and upgraded springs & has an upgraded foot.
Found one for £35.07. Got the double green dots.
I'll be ordering one soon, not in any hurry though, coz I've SORN'd my blackbird for now.

Try here for your CCT :- https://www.hazatop.com/index.php?main_ ... _id=801929
Works out just over £36.00 @ checkout.
Might take a couple of weeks to arrive.
