Charity idea... blackbird sr71

Postby Tigger » Fri May 19, 2006 3:03 am

I had an idea an ran it past Beano before he wandered astray...

at duxford theres an sr-71, we all own blackbirds. get a few companies to sponsor us 10p a mile for everyone to ride there for the day, total up the mileage, money goes to charity,

we get our photos taken with the xx`s under or by the sr-71 all together, try an get the/a bike mag involved so the photos are done proper, blinding day,

have spoken to duxford, initial response was not good but have another contact, says we need minimum of 30 bikes to get cheap entrance (they go there onto the runway with their cars but usually 200 of them).

i want your ideas feedback input, are you interested, is it a good idea ,etc :-?

Count me in, at 10p a mile I could raise a fortune for charity, just give me a few weeks notice.
An Aussie kiss - the same as a French kiss but 'Downunder' .

Great idea Twiggy

For obvious reasons I can't take part :bigcry: But if it's possible

if any of you good ladies or gents would take a photo of a shiney

black xx next to the SR71 I would be most greatful :)

Of course I will foot the bill for the print,p&p + a donation to the

chosen charity :wink)

Perhaps some of our other international members may also show

an interest if someone is willing to take on the task :-)

Big thanks in advance

JB :thumbsup)
