Leave this Saturday 24th May 2008.

xx all sorted for trip, cant wait get rollin. Pictures to follow with write up when I get back.

Nite stop Penrith, 2 nites Oban, 2 nites Inverness last nite Peebles.

2 ride-outs while at Oban, 1 at Inverness where we are goin to John O'groats.

trip to scotland

hi. all how many is going on this trip to scotland and is there room for some more to tag along
as some of the ayrshire blackbirds are at a loose end ? :mrgreen:
one of these days ill learn to drive slowly and sedately ,,,but not today !

take lots of midge killer, boots do cheapest and best one. them scottish bugs love a full english for dinner in the evenings. esp round oban area beside loch awe :banghead)

Can you post or pm details of your route and rough timings so we might be able tag along for a bit. It would be good to meet up for a wee hurl together. xx :) :) :). I think there will be about 5 or 6 of us. Cheers.

There are 5 bikes coming on trip:
1 x Pan
1 x BMW1100
2 x Deauville
1 x xx MOI :mrgreen:

We are stayin in Connell Sun/Mon, Mon being ride day.

Main Route A85/A82/A828.

Second route A85/A816/A83/A819/A85

No planned timings for the routes all dependant on weather.

We leave for Inverness Tuesday morning.

PM me your mobile numbers and once we have got to Connell and we plan timings will let you know.

Im back, write up to follow.

Me too ronniexx, but met up with a Danish contingent xx owners club, one of them had a sidecar outfit :bigshock) sorry didnt get piccie of ths one.

The maroon one.......they were at Rolfys blackbird bash... :roll) don't know why they left early..... :-?

and the young one on the 600 Suzuki had a very lucky escape on the sat ride out.....

That may have been for the better anyway Ronnin, you mentioned catching up for a "wee hurl." Where I am from a 'hurl' is to vomit and if that was your intention you may have been disapointed - you know how weak stomached the English are, give em a few pints of Scottish beer and I'm afraid you may have seen a "fookin huge hurl.'

Next time, get some BabyCham in and they may only hurl a wee bit. :twisted)

you are right Poacher, nothing wrong with it at all, but after 7 or 8 pints of a far stronger/better brew the Pommies would be on for a chunda fest. :mrgreen:
