bala sticky removed ...so picks here

Postby aj » Thu Jul 17, 2008 3:28 pm

.

most know by now that the satdee run was cut short by pithin precipitation of exemplary proportions :bigcry: :bigcry:
...and in fact only 3 of us made it to Conway.. :roll)

surprise surprise... soon as we arrived it stoped rainin, the force 9 abated and
a fekkkin shiny warming thing in the sky appeared :P :D

so we pulled into Conway castle car park to strip and dry off .. 8)

Image

treepithed had set like a piece of dried sculptors clay by then though... had to hit him with a shovel in the end to free him from bondage :P

Image

even the tvat needed help ( but then again when does he not)
once treepithed was freed he revived the tvat from his exhaustion by
letting him suck on his tyre valve :roll)

Image

followed by a fag... :D

Image

a walk round the town, some nosh and time to move on... well we did but the tvat needed to head off home... :roll)
tried to get away without paying the parking fee... until the trained gull alerted the attendant...

Image

next stop Caernarfon castle..

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

then up to llanberis... defined by it's pass..

Image

it's slate museum and lake railway 8)

Image

Image

Image

from here it was a blast back to bala via the pass, beddgelert, ffestiniog and the B4391...oooohhh yes  more..more

the following day was fine so we set out to do the complete planed mystery tour route
which took in Anglesey and the lleyn peninsula. 8)

after a few stops at places i've now forgotten

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

but with less than 50 miles or so covered we decided that the place was not cut out for bikers... :banghead)
double white lines and 40 limits throughout :bigcry: :banghead)
so we headed back to
beaumaris before crossing the old bridge over the menai straits :-)

Image

Image

Image

Image

once over the bridge and back on the mainland we headed off down the lleyn stopping first at morfa nefyn
... a place well known to the tvat as a family holiday retreat. :roll)

Image

Image

Image

Image

parked up for not long when some chap from Melton Mowbray on holiday with sprogs comes over to look at our bikes.. :roll)
before long sprogs were every where... :bigcry:

they tried the bluetit first...well… the brave one did :P

Image

yeh i know son... fekkin orible aint tit... you wana sit on mine don't yer eh :-? 8)

Image

within seconds of the offer the entire family wanted in on the act :D

Image

Image

Image

and yes... blond, green top... a cracker :P :P :P :P

hey ho.. onwards to the end of the peninsula and aberdaron

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

twas very windy...so which way should he be facing... :-? :-?

Image

Image

from aberdaron to portmadog to trawsfynydd the A4212...(Oh yes sir again)... back to bala

the following morn we set of for the moorland and wetland to the north of bala but to the east of Snowdonia...

wow... calendar shot stuff

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

all the B roads we could find before arriving at the ponderosa on top of the horse shoe pass :-)

Image

down into Llangollen

Image

by which time treepithe had had enough and was wanting to sell his tit... :oops)

Image

nope.. they wouldn't have it.. :roll)

so it was off home fer him

Image

back to bala for me... and the following morning over to Stockton and the ride-well the following weekend. :P

regards :wink)

Have just cum across these pics, after searching for them in Pit Lane. Relived an action-packed few days.

Isn't it amazing how a camera lens dissolves shite! My 'Bird was soo mucky after the Sunday ride, it was almost tvatanium (well, I exagerate a little, it wasn't that bad a colour.) But there it is in all the pics, as dazzling as ever.

Great times,

Chris
PS Some of the better photos above are mine, taken with his nib's fuji.

Great photos, right size, but why does virtually everyone one have some ancient relic of one form or another in it?? :P

I know, pmitch. aj will insist on posing.

And if it's not him, it's the tvatanium spoiling the view. :banghead)

Excellent pics boyzz
And a great write up....

Well done
There is nothing wrong with the way I ride.

Just stay 15 feet in front or 15 feet behind. You need to be 15 feet to my left or right.

Any closer and your MINE all MINE
