Its great having family in Cornwall
When you feel the need for a decent ride in the country you can 'pop by' to visit the family
(25/10/08 -- 30/10/08) not the best weather but thats what waterproofs and cafes are for. We (me and jo) managed to consume anough caffine to keep afloat the royal navy!
We went from Gloucester down the A38 to bristol, along the A37 to Yeovil then off to Exeter services via the A303 for a refuel and down the A30 to Hayle. Three stops in all, refueled the bike twice & refueled ourselves three times. A nice scenic ride.
If you find yourselfs in cornwall i would definatly recommend visiting St Michaels Mount and the Eden Project. The eden project was excelent, although the 'ride with Elvis' was slightly dubious. Also if you just want a roof over your head and a warm bed try 'st ives holiday park' in Hayle (£118 for 5 nights in a chalet, in half term)
Photos of our mini holiday to follow.
