Scrounging

Postby T.Murphy aka Tim » Tue May 21, 2013 1:22 am

Trying to put this fekkin Bird back together without chucking too much money at it....soooooo,

I'm after a set of rear wheel cush drive rubbers if anyone's got a spare set knocking about. Mine's fell to bits on dismantling, so with money chucked at the wheels for shotblasting, powder coating, new bearings, seals, chain and sprockets, stainless sprocket nuts, stainless disc bolts and stainless axle nut/bolt I thought I'd ask here first . Rather one of you have my money than them fekkers running firms darn sarrf.

Ta for looking.

Dave - from silvers webiste

Genuine Honda c+s
£129.00
Delivery cost based £5.85
total inc VAT £161.82

so at £245 inc - its £70 + vat to fit seems a lot, but suppose £70 is a main dealer hourly rate,

prob pay the lad who does it, £8.50 an hour
(£8 ish is about the rate at dealers pay the bike mech's round here)

but thinking about it, London prices it's for noooooowt :thumbsup)
