Shoei bits Wanted

Postby T.Murphy aka Tim » Thu Jan 22, 2015 4:14 pm

Stab in the dark, but has anyone got a redundant/past it's sell by date, Shoei Multitec helmet.??

I have lost a small pastic black flatheaded screw that holds the plastic face guard to the helmet side. This prevents the flip up chin guard from operating.

ramo has kindly sent me links for parts/kits but none of them contain this faceguard screw ( part "A" in the shitty Shoei manual)

Have looked on the net but fekked if I can find it.

:-? . It's not a stainless domehead that's missing Dave. It's that plastic black one I've posted a pic of. One has fallen out of the side with the arrow on and disappeared. The photo is of the one from the other side yea? That stainless dome head you see is only temporarily fitted in the pic to stop me losing it....The chin bar goes on first and then that there dome head attaches the chin bar to the main helmet.. :|

Number plate screw is too thin and wrong thread thanks.

Barsteward, to maintain fairness and continuity, I have deleted your post as I have with aj's inane unhelpful ( as is par for the course) drivel until the thread has been answered. Sounds ten ton I know but he's such a cnut.

I will also delete this in a bit. :thumbsup)

Sorry Oldbull, I forgot to take into consideration your inability to see, read and understand the first three pics and the written description of what I've lost, namely a small, black plastic, flat headed screw. My mistake. :thumbsup)

Don't have what you need Tim and the screws don't seem to be for sale as an item. What Shoei do sell though is what they call a 'Face Cover Base Set' which consists L&R plates as shown in your photo and two new plastic screws (the metal ones being a separate part no.).

Shoei's part number is 50ML TFCB and in the US at least, it costs no more than 10 dollars.

Here's a link to Shoei's parts guide if you don't already have it-

Part No's

Buy the set pal. Lid will feel like new

Matter of fact, might be worth ringing one of the three sellers here?

Parts

The part number given in the main ad looks to be wrong, It relates to a pair of screws with washers whereas they're advertising the plates you need. Will probly need to check that the screws you need are there :thumbsup)
Eliminate the impossible. Whatever remains, however improbable, must be the part you forgot to service.

Sorted thanks.
Mick, the parts list I'd seen before, but didn't know what was what without a picture and the diagram on the Shoei site left a lot to be desired (and read) thanks. :thumbsup)

However, Ramo sent me this link at the shop in Squires Café Bar of all places..about £8 all in.
