Scottish McBASH

Postby russ_fae_fyvie » Thu Jun 21, 2012 1:18 pm

Right you lot !

I have always let you know about the McBASH and one or two have risked coming over the last 4 years, so rather than being called a twat for not asking you 9I get called that anyway so its nothing new), this is your invite to come along to this years.

I started off with this McBASH in 2009 when the same invite was made to both BIRD and IXXRA Members but I only got responses from BIRD Members with the exception of 2 from IXXRA, thats the only reason BIRD is mentioned on the Badges so don't think its aimed purely over there. I have always put the invite on both sites for as long as I've run it.

I still think everyone should get involved but I'll leave it up to you.

The invite is there and all the details are, as usual, on the website.

http://www.fyviedesign.co.uk/Fyvie_Design_Ltd/BIRD_McBASH_2012.html

For those who don't know this is not a 'typical' rally and I even provide a Marquee to pitch your tent inside. So if you do want to try something different, bite the bullet and forget the supposed rivalry, we are all supposed to ride the same bike aren't we ?? duh

If you do want to come just let me know, only so I can let the hotel know for food, etc.

Here's hoping !!

:shock)

Hi Russ. I think "we" all take it for granted that the invite is and always has been there. :thumbsup)

There IS No rivalry between "us" and you set of coonts over there on the Dark Side ( y'all right Russ when ya on here :thumbsup) )

I for one kept my powder dry over my decision to come up last year but events conspired against me. I am quietly doing the same ( is that an oxymoronic comment or what duh ).

I for one will try my bestest but again cannot commit 100% sorry. :ride) .

I think the trouble stems from the Northern element of Ixxra being so industrious and hardworking that finding more time than 12 hours to ride for the day is very difficult. With the main core element of them twats on the Dark Side being from work shy suvverners , they've got fekk all better to do (work wise.)

I hope this doesn't cause any animosity twixt us and them :wink)

..and goes without saying, best wishes for a cracking weekend .

Mr Murphy sir,

I fully understand about the work thing, I remember a time when I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our Dad and our mother would kill us and dance about on our graves singing Hallelujah.

Sort of thing !!

Ah remember the time ! ,,,,,,,,,,

Well. I finally did it. With Mars in the ascendency, Jupiter passing into Sagittarius and Uranus....well, what I mean is, the Gods were looking down at me, as was my wife and for a moment in my sad, mundane life a ray of sunlight burst through the merkiness of Shefield and at the last minute I got the word GO/OK/FEKK OFF YA WELSH TWATAND DON'T COME BACK to attend this years McBash after several years of being thwarted.

What a great event Russ has put on. Had a ball up there even though they were all twats from the Dark Side and only little old me from here. :bigcry:

Anyone feeling slightly tempted to got to next years event then book early before it gets full. I'm booked in and can thoroughly recommend it to all.

Great ride up there

Fekkin roads up there are out of this world.

Great countryside (of course)

Great company

Great snap

Greta ride back

What more does one want? Bliss.

Cheers Russ, twas a cracker.

(I daren't look at all my petrol station receipts yet, jawdropping I just fekkin daren't :shock) )

Cheers Tim it was good to see you, honestly !!

Anyway, as he mentioned, due to popular demand, 2014 is a goer !

For the initiated, here is a link to thie years webpage, there have been a couple from IXXRA been in the past and I think they liked it, the first one in 2009 was promoted as a BIRD/IXXRA Event but really BIRD members have been more prevalent so hopefully some of you lot will try it.

http://www.fyviedesign.co.uk/Fyvie_Design_Ltd/BIRD_McBASH_2013.html

Mark your diaries, August 29th to Sept 1st, its the weekend after the August Bank Holiday so you can plan your year around that weekend !

With a year to go its obviously premature (like me !) but stick your name down if you're thinking about coming, then in 11 months time you can change your mind !!

After talking about it with some other McBASHers (including ~tim !), looks like the format will be;

Saturday Morning - Lochter (I may randomly pick activities to stop you buggers practicing in the 12 months beforehand !)

Satuday Afternoon - Kenny's Treasure Hunt

Sunday - A different type of Rideout, more later but it will be more quality than quantity (miles that is!)

Its also the same weekend of the 2014 Fyvie Homecoming Festival so not only will WE be there but lots of other peepes as well, could be interesting !

http://www.visitscotland.com/info/events/homecoming-scotland-2014-fyvie-homecoming-festival-2014-p832401

Because of this, I have booked all 5 rooms at the Vale and if anyone wants a room at Standing Gables, it will be really important to get that booked asap because its sure to be busy !

Just so that EVERYONE knows, there is a limit on numbers and for 2014 the limit will be 30, it will be first come, first served (based on post dates) and I know its a way off yet but get your name down early if you think you want to come and join us twats

The limit is due to 2 things, first off the ride out and the events lined up and also the space in the dining room at the Vale hotel,

So let see who fancies it !

(By the way, why still a 2012 thread??!!)_
