I2k miles ago I fitted my third rear (front to be done in a while) and it had done 9.5k miles.
I do approx 17k miles a year so a soft tyre's no good for me (or rather my wallet). Dual compounds are the obvious choise for hight mileage and grip on the twisties.
When they're stone cold (winter) they're horrid but after 1 to 1.5 miles they come on fine. I'm intending to fit two more rears and a front before I ponder changing the tyre type.
