Borders Weekend April 23,24,25 and 26th

Postby T.Murphy aka Tim » Fri Jan 24, 2020 12:08 pm

Don't know if it's this fekkin Eagle Festival at Moffat this year but the Beuccleuh Arms Hotel is fully booked.

Therefore we're now staying at that Auld stalwart....Tge Graham Arms Hotel in Longtown. They stil have double rooms left. Phone them direct as Alistair always gives a better price than Booking.com.

Weather permitting, eliminating the need for snowshoes, gaberdines, wellies, snowsuits, hit water bottles and other heavy luggage, I shall be riding my Honda SuperBlackbird

:ride) :rockon)
Any interest stick ya name up.

Bit of info for you for future ref..
The Beuccleuh arms does not do bikes any more they have gone up market to the £180 a night brigade.
Sacked all the food staff etc last year and are refurbing rooms.
The eagles thing is no big deal couple of blokes with a stall on market.. plenty of room in Black bull, Stag and pheasant etc etc if any one requires.
We stayed in the Stag last year and it was very good :ride)

Hello David,

your mate Nige was asking about you last week, told him your a professional pikey now :eyebrows) you still biking :ride) as well as caravanning?

hows things, good I hope

Blackbull expensive £270 single 3 nights, Stag is full for that weekend, the Buccleuch is open, £72 per twin room per night, but no availability,

edit just rechecked, Stag now has 2 twins available, looks nice there :bigcry:

LOL hello Stephen Im not too bad thank you, are you still travelling all over europe selling your bike racks ?? :-D :-D

been enjoying the Pikey life style to be honest and we take the bike with us a fair bit and I get the best of both worlds..
Nige has been running a van as well for a few years, ideal for the race meets ya see.. Not seen him for a while tho but we have plans for a few more classic meets this year so will catch up properly then...spring cannot come fast enough for me :)

Dont take no notice of them online booking sites there miles off.. The Bull has some external rooms annex thingys as well and the prices are much of a muchness as we paid before, loads of others to go at also .. as Tim says give them a ring... not as cheap as the Graham tho if thats your thing..
The Buccleuch is open to sell you beer but no food as they are running a skeleton staff with no chef and doing the rooms up...
I was just giving the heads up for future ref thats all, as I now see your sorted

Anyway its good to see your still talking to each other and your toys are still in pram .. about 14months now must be close to a record :)
I even heard that you all came home together from a Germany run as well last year jawdropping

Do you think you will be able to keep up with Jono on his scooter this year then mate :eyebrows) :eyebrows) gonna be close call

Hopefully will bump into yall up there ( not literally)... I really do miss the humour on this here forum   :ride)

Thats right Steve BUT the Grahams is not in Moffat.. howdy ( rolling chickweed comes to mind) :-?

We stayed in the stag last year and said we will do it again this year as we enjoyed it, so we are already sorted on the decision as to where to stay.
Final dates and numbers not in yet ..

meanwhile Tim puts an invite up on here to go up with you four and threw a curve ball ... do we stay or do we go now..
you divided the old group last year when you decided to go elsewhere so we had to sort ourselves and had no reason to believe any different this year :-? :-?

anyrode I dont give fook how much it costs cos Im on a Jolly...... Am I really sat here typing this sheite :banghead) :banghead) :banghead)
