Let me Know the dates if you don't mind. If it's ok i'd like to come if the invite is open (it's 5 hours to Dover for me).

I have access to a place in France which is not too far down (Near Le Mans in the Mayenne).Lots of good roads and a huge BBQ.
And somewhere to swim too.

I tried to post a pic but it won't let me. :cry)

We will be prebooking a hotel somewere in the area 80 miles west of lemans, this will give us a good base for the rideout saturday to go in any direction we choose
the distance is approx 340 miles once we leave the train, we will be using the D roads pretty much for all of the route and that sort of mileage will be a good days ride at a moderate pace, everyone will have full details and a map printoff of the routes etc, so if you feel you wanna go ahead or hang back at a nice spot, or we split into 2 groups or whatever then thats not a problem
day 2 will consist of a rideout that we all have as say on at the friday night meal..if you just want to stay behind and chill or go off and do your own thing than thats fine, day three the sunday will be an early start heading back for the train and home, at a rough guess we will be looking for a train time for about 7pm french time..which is one hour ahead of uk time so all things being well we will hit uk soil (rubber side down hopefully  ) at approx 6:30pm leaving enough time for everyone to arrive home at a decent time for work monday, we can judge what time to leave by how long it took us to get there and adjust our setoff time accordingly
if your up for it please post on here and ALSO send me a email reefer@blueyonder.co.uk with the heading "FRANCE"
all comms will now be done off forum via email

XXXXXXXX PLEASE NOTE THE NEW DATES ARE 23RD JUNE TO 25TH OF JUNE (FRI-SUN) DUE TO THE LEMANS 24 HOUR BEING ON THE WEEKEND OF THE 17TH :oops) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
CLOSING DATE FOR THIS WILL BE 11TH OF MARCH as we need to get deposits down for the hotel and train tickets purchased

hotel has been sorted!
cost is 90 euros all in for the 2 nights
that price is PER ROOM for any single, double or twin all on suite
there is a bar/restaurant
breakfast is buffet style@ 6,50 euros per person
they are pet friendly tim..@ cost of 3,80 euros per night extra
you can make your own bookings via the net as they have lots of rooms available
few of us are staying at a hotel close to the tunnel on the thursday night for a short trip to the chunnel friday morning
so if you wanna pair up with someone and book a twin room you will be looking at about £20 a night with your brekkie..cheap as frites :D

Reefer, Meeshy and I have time off booked that whole week, 19th June to 25th. We are planning to be somewhere in France and/or Spain from the weekend before and although there are no plans whatsoever yet, I'm thinking of timing it so that we could perhaps meet up with you in France on the 23rd or 24th. I'll discuss it with Meeshy when she's back from Scotland tomorrow and once we've got more solid plans will liase with you, nearer the time.

If its of any interest to anyone, I'm travelling on after the weekend. My rough itinerary is as follows:

1/2 days - travelling to Andorra past Biarritz and down the Autoroute du Sol

2/3 days - in Andorra, probably at the Hotel Paris-Londres, because they give free room upgrades

2/3 days - travelling east along the South Coast with one night in the Camargue to see the wild horses. (Sorry Tim, they don't do French sheep)

2 days - Travelling home via the route Napoleon.

If anyone wants to join me for all or part of that trip, you're more than welcome.
