Lot's of snow oop here tonight and last friday was the same, but a little larger portion, I was at Melrose in the borders with work and with time to spare to travel to my next job it was mandatory to take the scenic route via St Boswells, Jedburgh, Carter bar, Bonchester bridge, Newcastleton etc, the journey was interesting to say the least and high concentration driving with 8" of snow at it's best on the Steve Hislop training route (You know it well) but apart from the Angst of the journey it was an opertunity to see the route like that and boy was it beautiful, anyroad enough bollox and here's some pics.............
Just as quick as it came it soon dissapeared by Monday, and by midweek I found myself at Hawick and Langholm and I used the B6399 to travel on and stopped at a local beauty spot at Whitrop, not sure if we have used this road on an IXXRA run?..........
Not much foliage at this time of year but the Lichens looked in good order
On thursday I made a pass through Galloway forest and stopped at "Clatteringshaws" where some of us stopped to divvy up Mo's chocolate cake at the visitors centre, this is just before at a layby type pull in!
I would have put this in the rideout section, but it's really a driveout
