...for 15 minutes or so.
Well, thats what I said to my wife and daughter yesterday teatime.
After a day tidying and sorting garage and tools and stuff and supping copious amounts of Yorkshire Gold, I finally took the cover off the Bird yesterday afternoon, put the key in and pressed the button once. Nowt . Then I remembered she was dry so half a gallon of fuel and yep, she started on the first attempt.
I rolled her out and gave her a good wash and blow dry with my Stihl leaf blower, then checked tyres, oil, watta (as if!) And lubed up the chain. A blue cloudles sky overhead and still another 3 hours before darkness...Thinks "I think Ill take the Bird up to Ladybower and back....onee be 10 or 15 mins"
So, with a wave I set off up the A57 towards Ladybower....nice and steady, nowt daft and the sun was getting low and straight in front of me.... so, .40, 50, 45....55, back to 40......yea, nice and steady, bimble cruise mode .......and then this twat appeared...oh what a bike, yi haaaa, woooooooofooookinhoooooooo!
Fook it, Ill go fill up at Bamford.....fook it I may as well go to Castleton from here.....and then from there to t'other side ert Pennines and Glossop and fekkin Holme Moss and Glossop and Snake Pass.
It wor dark when I got in to " where the fook have you been?
What a cracking little leg stretcher for the old girl
