The Circuit of Wales was beset with financial problems right from the start - they got the funding but needed it to be underwritten and that's' where the problems started as nobody was prepared to take the risk!
I'm still hopeful in a positive way that it will eventually get sorted out
The Welsh Road Race however, fell foul of the Military road problem! Part of the circuit and supporting infrastructure was on an adopted council road - the rest was on military tarmac. I suspect the problem lies with a lack of communication and co-operation between the two.
If anyone wants to ride the circuit - I'm happy to show folks around as it's open to the public, once you've found it - except just remember that when on the military road, it's under the jurisdiction of the military not the police.
When they say 40mph - they MEAN 40mph and have little wooden huts that soldiers sit in ( when on manoeuvres) fully armed to the teeth
Racing a Chieftan tank isn't difficult (for Team Ft Bert Racing) but you run the risk of either Welsh Guantanamo Bay Camp or being shot
Cracking tarmac surface though!!
